Hi. I'm Mark. I've worked in communications, digital and technology teams all my career. For the last decade I've worked in and around the UK government leading transformation and change programmes to support organisational and taxpayer efficiency. In that short time, I've witnessed the rise of automation as a means of achieving improved customer service and a reduction in bureaucracy, partly through the use of artificial intelligence. So whilst I've consumed AI and accepted its benefits in my professional life, I've never actually paused to properly consider its impact on me, personally. And that's the starting point for this newsletter: we're asking how will AI affect the rest of us?
